Green Knitters—making change with knitting needles since the French Revolution

Posted by Sylvia Olsen on

Update: The first hats are in!

A shout out to Jean Simpson—she made four hats the first week.

Four new knitters came on Wednesday night. The pattern is now free of glitches. The bundles of yarn are now the right weight. We are currently knitting outside on the Joni’s patio, which will work for a while but we’ll be finding a new home soon.

Thanks to Custom Woolen Mills in Carstairs Alberta for their great 2 ply Mule Spinner yarn and for making it Green!

This week we’ll be setting up a system to sell at the Saanichton Fair this weekend. And most importantly Joni and I will get the kids to make some pom poms.

Outside. In the dark. No problem.
